Yesterday was a relatively good day where I managed to eat mashed potato (amazing I know!) and went for a walk beyond level 10 of St Vincent’s hospital which was even more exciting. Unfortunately I probably pushed it a bit too far and struggled through the night and woke up a bit worse for wear but a bit of Morphine and other pain killers and I feel good to make even more progress today.

Had the Nasogastric tube removed yesterday, although I was a little apprehensive if it would help with the Phlegm issue and swallowing it had a major effect? Spiros is a little better today. Talking is easier but still hurts. The pain and discomfort is still there. He is getting plenty of sleep which is really helping. Still no visitors today, but hopefully tomorrow evening he will be well enough to see people.
