This February highlights good health news and a focus on stress reduction, balanced with a busy month with family, catching up with friends, and enjoying live entertainment.

The Health

February brought good news. After going in for my PET scan on the 23rd, the results came back clear! It is always a massive relief when I get that news. I also had my regular immunotherapy, scope, and oncology check-ups on the same day, and they all went well.

While the clear scan is fantastic, I am currently preparing for a potential change in my treatment regimen. I am honestly a bit nervous about what that might look like, so I am keeping the specifics to myself for now until things are a bit more certain.

To help continually improve the mental side of all this, I have a silent meditation retreat booked for March. It is going to be a real test of how "chilled out" I actually am these days. The goal is to push forward with my quest to remove as much stress from my life as possible, and hopefully improve my overall rest and energy levels.

The Personal

February was a busy month as we got back into the family routine and packed the calendar with social events.

School is back in full swing. With Zoe starting high school, we have had a few events at Brigidine, including a "Meet the Teacher" evening and a parent welcome cocktail party to wrap up the month. Things have definitely changed since I was young :-)

Socially, it was great to catch up with a number of people. I enjoyed some good morning walks, caught up with friends (including a visitor from NZ, which is always nice), and celebrated a birthday or two!

I managed to get a fix of live theatre and music too. I went to see the play ART and also headed to the Belvoir Theatre to catch A Mirror. For live music, the Lookout Festival to see OneRepublic and the Red Hot Summer tour were massive highlights. I also caught a couple of movies, including Fackham Hall and Blue Moon. To round things out with the family, we headed to Allianz Stadium to watch the Waratahs take on the Fijian Drua and did some street photography in Balmain.

That's it from me. Be sure to read the March edition of GenXtoday
