Care
I put this section together because people often ask how I actually approach my day-to-day life. Whether it is just the practical side of staying alive or how I handle things mentally, this is how I piece it all together. A huge part of this is staying as calm as possible so my body can focus all its energy on fighting cancer. To make that happen, I stick to living in the now. I don't stress about heavy planning or dream about anything further than a month down the road.
Through this challenge, I realized that people who win against cancer usually have a really strong belief system. For many that is religion, but I call mine "Greekology." It is a framework I built to work for someone like me living in the modern world. The idea is that the right values will fulfill your life and prepare you for whatever comes next. I believe sleep and energy are the center of everything, and that life is about noticing uplifting moments rather than chasing constant happiness. My rule of thumb is to live today, plan for tomorrow, think about next week, hypothesize about next month, and just imagine the future.
I hope you enjoy the content. If you have any questions, please just reach out and ask. I actually like the questions because they give me a chance to stop and properly articulate why I am doing these things. It helps me get it clear in my own head.
