20 Sept

Spiros had the best night sleep so far last night. In fact, when I went to visit he was asleep! Being the good wife, I did not wake him, so only have text messages to say he is feeling better and open to visitors. So an update on the girls instead…Zoe is missing dad but well distracted by a new bike and Upsy Daisy doll, whilst Lexi has followed her dad by sleeping her best so far last night, bringing a smile to both her and her mums’ face this morning!

15 sept – 1 day post surgery.

1 day post surgery and Spiros will be feeling the maximum swelling in his tongue and throat for the next 24hrs. It’s not a pretty sight, nor is the challenge of swallowing when part of your tongue is missing much fun. For the time being, we are requesting no visitors so Spiros can get as...

It’s been a weird week trying to recover from the first operation. I had expected that every day would get a little better and by this time I would be feeling relatively good and ready to go, however, it hasn’t been like that.

Everyday new pains seem to come...
