Today they put a tube in Spiros’ throat so they can start feeding him. It’s is making him feel really nauseous, is painfull against his swallon throat and the nose. He also can’t talk as well and is coughing again. Having the tube to eat is common after this kind of surgery. I was talking to the speech therapist and she mentioned most patients feedback is that the worst part of the recovery is the swallowing, mucus, coughing, gagging feeling and feeding tube. My observation seeing Spiros is he is suffering all these things. The pain is being managed and just tends to take a back seat to how uncomfortable he is. Today he just wants to try sleep and get through this phase. I think the picture says it all. For those thinking of visiting in general please  contact me first to check. Mb 0405005331.
